Antlers; Versatile and Medicinal

Antlers . . . who knew they are so very versatile?  They're not just for building beautiful chandeliers and home decor.  Beyond the reverence of these bony structures throughout our entire existence, antlers—especially growing velvet antlers—have long been used in traditional medicine. Antlers have been promoted to support vitality, boost immune function, enhance joint health, improve recovery from illness, increase endurance or strength, enhance stamina, promote bone and cartilage repair.

In this photo, you can see the velvet coming away from the antler.  Sometimes, there is blood when they shed velvets. This is a natural process and they do not need medical attention.  Mother Nature has this all under control.
